Home Instead Recognised Once Again as a Financial Times Diversity Leader

Home Instead’s ongoing dedication to equality and diversity has been reaffirmed in the Financial Times’ Diversity Leaders 2026.

This year, Home Instead secured 312th place out of 800 companies across Europe (that’s a rise in 97 places since last year) and an impressive seventh position out of 34 within the Healthcare (Social) sector.

It comes following the recent news that Home Instead is a Financial Times Best Employer, being rated as number 3 out of 500 major UK businesses.

Diversity-Focused

Since its inception in 2019, the FT–Statista survey has gathered insights from thousands of employees across Europe to compile the Diversity Leaders list. Employee feedback contributed to 70% of each company’s final score, while the remaining 30% was based on new metrics introduced last year. These included the proportion of women in management roles, diversity-focused communications, and a data-based diversity score from Denominator, measured on a scale of 0 to 100.

Participants were invited to evaluate their own organisation’s approach to diversity and inclusion, as well as their perception of other leading employers within their industry.

An Inclusive Culture

This outstanding result highlights the inclusive culture that defines Home Instead, particularly within our franchise network, where equality and diversity is celebrated and embedded in everyday practice. We take pride in the fact that our employees are as diverse and individual as the clients we support across the UK.

Many of our offices actively celebrate important events such as Pride Month, International Women’s Day, Older Person’s Day, and various religious and cultural occasions throughout the year. They are moments that bring colleagues and clients together in shared appreciation and respect.

Martin Jones MBE, CEO of Home Instead UK and International commented: “We are thrilled that our continued commitment to diversity has once again been recognised in the Financial Times Diversity Leaders ranking. Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do, and it’s rewarding to know our employees value and experience this in their day-to-day work. Representing the UK home care industry in this prestigious ranking is a great honour, and we remain committed to championing diversity as we continue to grow.”
