Hello. We are Home Instead, and we are trusted by many families to deliver friendly home care in Fleet to over-50s. We’d love to show you how we can help you, too.
Choosing the right home care in Fleet for Mum and Dad will always be your priority, and there will be plenty of questions along the way. Rather than see you struggle, we’d like to offer you our advice.
We are offering free consultations for those interested in home care. During our visit, we will talk with you about home care, respite care and live-in care and offer you a free falls assessment, which, combined, will give you a clear plan for the phased care Mum and Dad will need. We’ll also tell you about the services we can help with, including
“I would like to share how great the service my aunt has received from Home Instead. The carers, especially Nicola, Gulay, Laura and Fran, have been wonderful, responding both to my aunt’s needs and to suggestions from the family, which have considerably helped improve my aunt’s quality of life, especially since her bereavement.
I would also like to say how impressed I am with the admin team. They have always been so quick to respond to any requests or queries; it has been very reassuring to have such a professional team to turn to.
A heartfelt Thank you.”
H. Cawley.
We only employ the most compassionate caregivers, giving Mum and Dad someone to lean on throughout their care journey. Here are some of our amazing team members who are doing great care work in Fleet.
After 24 years spent in the fast-paced world of finance, Julie made the bold decision to leave behind her well-established career and embrace a path driven by passion and purpose.
“Life changed for me when I became the primary caregiver for my Mum and Dad. I discovered a deep satisfaction in helping others and fulfilment in making a tangible difference in their lives. That’s when I knew I needed to switch careers.
The thing that sold Home Instead to me was how lovely every single person in this office was; it was beyond just a hello, everyone was genuinely friendly, and I thought that’s the type of place I’d like to work.
I’ve met some fantastic clients and had lots of fun providing a companionship-led care service.”
Most importantly, we promise to do that with care and kindness.
Fleet is a town in the Hart District of Hampshire, with beautiful nature reserves and historic links to King John and the Magna Carta. But for those more vulnerable due to ill fortune and poor mobility, loneliness and isolation can creep in. Home Instead Fleet works with community partners to help where we can.
In recent years, our team has regularly donated food and time to local food banks. We have also worked with charities like Parkinson’s UK to provide assistance and help raise funds. And we will continue to give back through workshops and community outreach.
Hampshire County Council provides limited funds for adult social care for those over 50 in Fleet. Eligibility is means-tested and may cover up to half of your costs.
However, Home care doesn’t always cost as much as you think. You might start with just a few hours every few weeks to help with household chores and companionship. This is likely to cost as little as £150.
Yes, of course.
We cater to the individual, so if there are specific dietary, mobility, or medical needs, we can accommodate them. We can also accommodate religious or language needs. And if they have a long-term condition, impairment, or disability, we can accommodate those, too.
Just let us know what you need or prefer, and we will match you to a care pro with the right experience.
We can also offer help for couples or those who wish to stay together under one roof in their later years. While their needs will be different and may require different team members, we can ensure that your care pros meet a collective need that encourages togetherness.
And we also help look after pets!
We believe in clear and effective communication, and that includes providing you with real-time feedback as and when needed. We also have an app, so you can speak directly to carers or care managers if you need us.
Social care provision is based on identified medical needs or hospital referrals. There are waiting lists involved here, so you will need to expect some delay in approval and provision. What you are provided with will be immediate to your application. To request further assistance (which may or may not be possible), you would need to have a referral in place.
Home care is a private option with a much broader scope to adapt to your care journey as it changes. We also provide a much more “in-the-home” experience, meaning you can lean on us for everything Mum and Dad need, whether that’s laundry, an afternoon out occasionally, or longer-term dementia live-in support. No dealing with countless services and a sea of faces. Just one small team of friendly carers.
We can also offer you and your family respite services so that Mum and Dad get the care they need while you take the care breaks you will need.
In most cases, no.
Studies suggest that “”home is best”” for health and well-being unless they have dependent medical needs. And that’s because it’s where Mum and Dad feel comfortable and confident, surrounded by friends and family. That goes a long way to maintaining a sense of self and a zest for life.
Home care bridges the gap between those needing help living at home and their medical teams (GPs and hospitals).
