Here’s what our clients say about working with us

“Our mum has been determined to stay in her own home despite becoming rather infirm, anxious and in and out of hospital. Home Instead have enabled mum to feel safe at home for far longer than we all expected. Their flexibility, in terms of mum’s ever-changing needs has been exemplary. As well as care in a very practical and personal manner, her lovely carers have constantly offered reassuring emotional support.

Conversation, together with a good balance of professionalism and friendship with a regular bank of carers, has mum feeling valued, and, as far as the family are concerned, stimulated.

Communication between carers, office staff and our family has been effective throughout and we would heartily recommend HI services to anyone considering home care for a loved one.”

– R. Cornall.

“Home Instead looked after my mother-in-law for four years. Their service was always excellent. The standard of the carers was very professional and caring at all times.

They became friends to both my mother-in-law and me and were always happy to look after not just her personal care, but also do light housework duties, keeping her comfortable in her own home, which was invaluable.

The team in the office were always on the end of the phone or email, with quick response to any of my worries, concerns or questions.

I would recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for a professional, reliable and caring service.”

– R. Page.

Meet Julie

After 24 years spent in the fast-paced world of finance, Julie made the bold decision to leave behind her well-established career and embrace a path driven by passion and purpose.

“Life changed for me when I became the primary caregiver for my Mum and Dad. I discovered a deep satisfaction in helping others and fulfilment in making a tangible difference in their lives. That’s when I knew I needed to switch careers.

The thing that sold Home Instead to me was how lovely every single person in this office was; it was beyond just a hello, everyone was genuinely friendly, and I thought that’s the type of place I’d like to work.

I’ve met some fantastic clients and had lots of fun providing a companionship-led care service.”

Meet Lauren

Lauren is one of our business development managers who started as a care pro. She has seen every side of care, from home help to overseeing care pros as a live-in care manager and now the broader parts of our business.

“I found Home Instead when I was looking for something flexible that would work around my children. With no previous experience in care, I was apprehensive to start with, but I was given all the friendly support and training I needed, and my confidence grew and grew. And the clients are so lovely. I looked forward to seeing them every day and being part of their care journey.

It was a no-brainer when I had the opportunity to progress into the office. Every day is fast-paced and different, and I’m really enjoying the variety of the job and all the opportunities to help our clients from a different perspective.”

We regularly donate food and time to our local food banks and work with charities like Farnham Assist by providing a wheel-chair accessible car and a volunteer for each monthly Sunday roast. Commonly Asked Questions About  Home Care In Aldershot

How much does home care in Aldershot cost at Home Instead? And can you get funding?

Hampshire County Council is your first point of contact for funding questions. Partial funding may be available for those eligible through a means-test.

As to costs. This is a complex question, and the answer depends very much on what you need. However, if you need a twice-monthly visit for just a few hours, you would spend around £150. This would cover things like household chores and companionship.

Can we make special arrangements for people with specific needs?

Yes. We always cater to the individual. If Mum or Dad have specific dietary, mobility or medical needs, we can cater to that. If they have religious or language needs, we can cater to that. And if they are a person with a long-term condition, impairment or disability, we can cater to that too. Just let us know what you need or prefer, and we will match you to a care pro who has experience and can be considerate of your needs.

We can also cater to individuals or couples in relationships who wish to stay under one roof. And we are always happy to help look after pets.

Will you keep me updated on Mum and Dad’s Care?

Absolutely. We are big on communication and have processes in place to give you real-time feedback in all situations. We also have an app, so you can speak to carers or care managers if you need us.

Is social care the same as home care?

No. Social care is provided by the NHS and your local authority. Provision is based on identified medical needs or hospital referrals.

Home care is private and, because of this, has a much broader scope. At Home Instead, we provide everything a social care provider can with a much more holistic approach, including mental stimulation and emotional well-being support. We can also respond in a much shorter time (just one or two days from consultation), which means you aren’t waiting for departments to share paperwork or referrals to go through.

Would Mum and Dad be better in a care home?

In most cases, no.

Unless they have dependent medical needs, studies suggest that “home is best” for health and well-being. It’s where Mum and Dad feel comfortable and confident, surrounded by friends and family. That goes a long way to maintaining a sense of self and a zest for life.

Home care bridges the gap between those needing help living at home and their medical teams (GPs and hospitals).
