Her previous role was with the national office of palliative care, overseeing operations for 100 hospices across South Africa. In this position, she had the unique privilege of serving as the personal assistant to the CEO, a distinguished professor of palliative care.
Nicky’s connection to the importance of palliative care became even more profound when she supported her late husband through his battle with cancer. This firsthand experience not only deepened her understanding of the challenges faced by patients and their families but also fueled her passion for making a positive impact in this critical field.
Upon retiring from her position, Nicky’s journey led her to the United Kingdom, where her daughter suggested a fulfilling opportunity with Home Instead Farnborough. Recognising the importance of personalised care, Nicky chose to become a Care professional with us, this decision aligns perfectly with her rich background in healthcare and her desire to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
