We understand that accepting personal care can feel like a big step, but with our person-centred approach, it can become a regular part of everyday life. Our support is designed to blend into your loved one’s routine without disrupting the independence they value. That might mean help getting up in the morning, assistance with bathing, toileting, or choosing clothes for the day ahead. At Home Instead Epsom and Mole Valley, we know that personal care is just that, personal. That’s why we take great care in matching each client with a care professional who not only understands their needs but also helps them feel at ease. One client came to us feeling unsure about accepting help and often avoided leaving the house, particularly due to worries around using the toilet. But with regular support from her care professional, her confidence slowly returned. She now feels comfortable going out in public again, and the pair often enjoy a coffee and chat at Charlie and Ginger café. With the right support and the right person, even the most sensitive routines can become part of a life lived well.

Personal care is never just about ticking off a task list; it’s about improving someone’s quality of life in every aspect. Our team goes beyond the everyday, taking the time to understand each person and looking for ways to make a genuine difference. Jackie, one of our care professionals, is a perfect example. As well as supporting clients at home, she helps run the Reminiscence Café at the Fairfield Centre, creating a warm, welcoming space for those living with memory loss. Like many in our team, Jackie says it’s the chance to bring comfort and connection into someone’s day that makes the job so rewarding. It’s this dedication that shapes the way we deliver personal care and how we help your loved ones feel their best while living at home.
Our support doesn’t end at home; we believe that good personal care should build confidence to enjoy life beyond it, and we actively encourage clients to stay connected with their community through inclusive, age-friendly activities. We often support visits to the Rainbow Leisure Centre in Epsom, where older adults can participate in gentle exercise classes designed to promote strength, balance, and overall well-being. For those who enjoy creativity, the Conquest Art group at Christ Church in Ewell offers a welcoming space, regardless of experience. Whether we’re helping someone get ready to attend or simply offering reassurance to take that first step, our care is all about supporting a fuller life, both inside and outside the home.
