Christmas Cheer & New Career Opportunities at Home Instead Epping Forest

Celebrate the Home Instead Epping Forest Christmas party and discover how the new year could bring rewarding career opportunities in care.

As the year came to a close, the team at Home Instead Epping Forest gathered to celebrate a wonderful year with a Christmas party that reflected everything the organisation stands for: connection, warmth, and community.

The Christmas party took place on the afternoon of 17 December 2025 at Theydon Bois Village Hall and brought together both Clients and Care Professionals for a relaxed and joyful celebration. It was a chance to step away from routines, spend time together, and enjoy a shared moment outside of everyday care visits.

Music, Conversation and Christmas Spirit

Music was at the heart of the afternoon. Guests were entertained by professional singer Debbie Watts, followed by a lively sing-along led by one of Home Instead’s own Care Professionals, Kevin, accompanied by his guitar. Familiar songs quickly filled the hall, with plenty of voices joining in.

Alongside the music, everyone enjoyed refreshments and the simple pleasure of good conversation. Clients and Care Professionals chatted, laughed, and caught up in a warm, inclusive setting that felt welcoming to all.

At the end of the afternoon, guests took home Christmas gifts, including Home Instead jute bags, Home Instead mugs, and festive puzzle books.

What Our Clients and Care Professionals Said

The feedback from those who attended captured the spirit of the day perfectly. Care Professional Ann H shared: “I thought it was very well presented. I enjoyed it, as did a lot of others. Well done to all involved.”

Audrey E described the party as a joy to go to, well organised as always, with food, drink and entertainment and lots of friendly faces.” She praised both performers and said it was “a very happy afternoon with lots of smiles and laughter and a lovely goody bag to take home.”

Ian and Maureen P reflected on the atmosphere, saying, “We had a nice time. Good atmosphere and good company. Also nice to catch up with people.”

Debbie A shared how much her father enjoyed the party, explaining that events like this offer valuable opportunities to socialise, reminisce, and enjoy familiar songs together.

For Glenda H, the afternoon was especially meaningful: I enjoyed the Christmas Party so much, it was the first time I had been out of my house for a while… what made it even more lovely was I met a very good friend of mine.”

Molly, one of our Care Professionals, had a great time: “I really enjoyed the Christmas party as did our clients – loads of dancing and laughs, it was a wonderful experience for not just me but each one of our clients. I got to meet people I have not had the chance to care for yet and see my fellow carers. Overall, I think it was amazing and lovely for our clients to mingle and speak to one another.”

From Christmas Celebrations to New Career Opportunities

As the festive season ends and January begins, moments like this naturally encourage reflection. For many people, the new year is a time to think about work, purpose, and whether their role is giving them a sense of fulfilment.

At Home Instead Epping Forest, the Christmas party was not just a celebration of the past year. It was a reminder of the meaningful work Care Professionals do every day: building relationships, creating shared experiences, and being part of a supportive community.

That’s why January is such a popular time to consider a career in care. You don’t need previous experience, just kindness, reliability, and a genuine interest in people. Full training, ongoing support, and flexible working hours are provided, helping new Care Professionals feel confident and valued from day one.
