- Since January 2022 my husband has been in the unfortunate position of being hospitalised on four occasions which left us in need of carers to assist in his care. During that period we have had 3 different companies. The first was good, the second was dreadful and then, I was fortunate enough to have a friend recommend Home Instead. Mum has been cared for by Home Instead since 2019. The level of care she has received has been excellent, her carers are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Mum recently had a stay in hospital, some of her regular carers were able to visit and help with feeding and companionship while she was there, she was always very pleased to see them. The service is reliable and most of the carers are absolutely excellent. They are all good. The ones who are excellent (the majority) use their initiative and are well organized and do everything on the list and also have lovely relationships with my mum. She feels they all really like her and that they are pleased to see her. All of them enhanced my mum’s life. I have had a recent operation and needed the support of a Live -In Carer for my recovery . I live alone . I have been very pleased with the support which i have received .
