The Home Instead National Conference

Held on the 2nd and 3rd of February at the Manchester Central Convention Complex, was a remarkable event that brought together the national network of Home Instead to celebrate our commitment to care and review our collective achievements over the past year. It was a time to reflect, learn, and plan for the future, under the inspiring theme “Stepping Up Together.”

Day One: A Focus on Owners

The first day of the conference was exclusively for owners, providing a unique opportunity to discuss strategies, challenges, and successes.

It was a chance for owners to connect, share experiences, and gain insights into advancing our businesses to make Home Instead the preferred choice for care and support in the community..

Day Two: Including Key Players

The second day welcomed key players in the network, broadening the conversation to include various aspects of care and support.

The day was full of discussions on how we can collectively make significant strides to enhance our services and reach out more effectively to those in need.

Insights from Leadership

A highlight of the conference was the insights shared by our CEO, Martin Jones, who spoke about maintaining excellence in home care. His perspectives provided valuable guidance on how we can continue to deliver outstanding service to our clients.

Keynote speaker Damien Hughes, a renowned sports psychologist, offered an engaging talk on mindset, aspirations, and resilience. His session was not only motivational but also deeply relevant to our work in home care, where these qualities are essential for both caregivers and those we care for.

Attendees also benefited from participating in three breakout seminars focused on recruitment, retention, networking, and the pursuit of positive change. These seminars offered practical advice and strategies to improve our services and strengthen our team.

Celebration of Achievements

The conference culminated in a gala evening and awards ceremony, where we were honoured to receive the prestigious Presidential Award 1.

This award is a recognition of the hard work and dedication of everyone in the Home Instead network, especially our care professionals who make a significant difference in the lives of older adults every day.

A heartfelt thank you to all who have contributed to this success; your dedication is what makes our achievements possible.
