101 Potential Lifesavers – Thank You, Bishop’s Stortford! ❤️

This weekend, Home Instead East Herts & Uttlesford was incredibly proud to sponsor and attend The Bish Bash 2026, held at Sworder’s Field in Bishop’s Stortford. The festival brings together live music, local businesses, charities and the community for a fantastic weekend of entertainment while supporting great local causes.

As part of our sponsorship, we were honoured to give our stall space to DKMS, allowing them to raise awareness of the life-changing importance of stem cell donation and encourage people to join the stem cell register.

The response from our local community was simply amazing.

101 people registered with DKMS over the weekend. That’s 101 potential lifesavers. ❤️

Every single person who stopped to chat, took the time to complete a swab, shared information with family and friends, or helped spread the word has made a real difference. One simple swab could one day give someone battling blood cancer or another blood disorder a second chance at life.

At Home Instead East Herts & Uttlesford, caring for our community goes beyond providing outstanding home care. We believe in supporting initiatives that can genuinely change lives, and partnering with DKMS at The Bish Bash was a perfect example of our commitment to making a positive impact.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to:

  • DKMS for the incredible work they do every day.
  • The organisers of The Bish Bash for hosting another fantastic community event and supporting such an important cause.
  • Everyone who visited the stand, registered as a potential donor, or helped raise awareness throughout the weekend.

Together, we are building a stronger, more caring community.

To the 101 potential lifesavers thank you. Your kindness and willingness to help a complete stranger could one day save someone’s life.

We are incredibly proud to have played a small part in such an inspiring weekend and look forward to supporting many more community events in the future.

Together, we can make a difference.
