Take a look at all the things we have acheived at Home Instead East Hampshire this year...

As the festive season wraps around us, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the heartwarming highlights of 2025 — a year filled with compassion, creativity, and community connection.
From our dedicated Care Professionals and live-in carers working tirelessly over the holidays, to the many partnerships and events that brought people together, we’re proud of everything we’ve achieved as a team.

This year, we continued to stand alongside some incredible community organisations:
In the sunshine of summer, we took part in the Alton Victorian Cricket fundraiser, raising £115 for Broadlands Equine Therapy, our chosen charity. We also attended the Community First Hampshire & Isle of Wight Social Prescribing Networking event in Winchester, partnering with our friends at Home Instead Fareham & Gosport to share how our services support wellbeing. At the Dementia Friendly Petersfield Event, we raised awareness and offered crocheted fidget toys in collaboration with a local CIC group — small gestures with big impact.
Sarah continued to lead Gentle Walks in Alton, bringing older people (some aged 80+) together for fresh air and friendship. Our Community Coffee Mornings remained a weekly highlight — with free tea and coffee, crafts, quizzes, and memory-sharing activities. Some of our art projects even featured in local exhibitions, celebrating the creativity of older people and those young at heart.
One unforgettable moment? A coffee morning regular abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower at age 90 to raise money for Dementia Friendly Alton. Talk about inspiring!
We also hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, raising £212 for cancer support.
We brought people together for scam awareness talks, helping keep our community informed and safe. We launched Karma Café, a welcoming space for carers and families. We hosted a Carer Information Evening with Dementia Friendly Alton and Alton Place Care Home, offering advice on LPA’s, Wills, and Care Funding. We helped create our first WOW Guide, became a Falls Prevention Champion, and delivered talks to help reduce falls in the community. We proudly signed the Armed Forces Covenant and joined the Hampshire & IOW Dementia Alliance, led by Age Concern.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re filled with gratitude for the people, partnerships and purpose that shape our work. Thank you to everyone who’s walked with us this year — your support means the world.
From all of us at Home Instead, we wish you a joyful, peaceful and connected Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
