Our comprehensive training and support help care professionals at Home Instead Dudley & Sandwell South evolve into management roles as Senior Care Managers.
At Home Instead Dudley & Sandwell South, care isn’t just a job, but an exciting journey. That’s because many of our staff who started as Care Professionals have advanced into key positions, including senior office-based roles and even management.
Every path is unique, but what they all share is a strong foundation in quality care and a workplace culture that genuinely encourages development.
Being a Care Professional is a role filled with meaning. From offering companionship to assisting older adults to stay safely at home, each visit brings its own rewards. It’s not just about tasks – it’s about connection and trust.
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds. Whether you’re completely new to care or returning to work after time away, we’ll guide you from day one. Full training, a structured induction, and the chance to shadow experienced colleagues help you thrive in your role.
Our growth is rooted in hands-on experience and tailored support. As you become more confident, opportunities naturally emerge. Extra responsibilities might include mentoring new Care Professionals or supporting client communications.
Many choose to move into roles such as Senior Care Professional, where they help maintain service quality in the community and act as a key link between clients and the wider team. Others transition into the office, stepping into roles such as Care Coordinator, Scheduler, or Recruiter. Each role plays an essential part in making sure our care is seamless, personal, and consistently high quality.
A perfect example of career growth within our team is Marie Share.
Marie joined Home Instead in 2013 as a Care Professional during a major career shift. Having managed a local charity visitor attraction, she was preparing to study Social Work at university and needed experience supporting older adults.
What began as a short-term placement at Home Instead quickly turned into a long-term passion. The leadership team recognised Marie’s organisational and people skills and invited her to sign up for the role of Coordinator. Over the years, she has taken on nearly every key office function – from scheduling and onboarding to training and service planning.
Marie’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence have helped shape the service we are today. She played a vital role in our ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating in 2019 and has continued to build her skills, earning her NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care. Her journey to Care & Operations Manager is a powerful reminder of what’s possible with the right support and a drive to make a difference.
For those ready to take the next step, the role of Care Manager offers the chance to lead with purpose. Some of the duties include managing care plans, supervising staff, and working closely with families and professionals.
At Home Instead Dudley & Sandwell South, we prepare individuals for this responsibility by offering insight into all aspects of care delivery. Team members grow into leadership, equipped with real experience, ongoing mentoring, and a strong foundation in person-centred care.
We’re proud of our strong community roots and the close-knit, supportive culture we’ve built. From Brierley Hill to Tipton, we work together to bring outstanding care to local people, and we invest in the people who make that possible.
