Home Instead Dartford run well-received dementia awareness session to patients and family members of Springhead Health Surgery!

Home Instead Dartford is on a mission to elevate dementia awareness within the local community. As a testament to our social commitment, Ram and Christina have, by now, conducted dementia awareness sessions for over 400 individuals across various settings, including scouts, schools, care homes, charity groups, and churches.

Our recent collaboration with Springhead Health Surgery in Northfleet marked a significant milestone, where we delivered a well-received dementia awareness session to patients and family members. The inaugural session, attended by 23 individuals, garnered positive feedback. Ram, the session facilitator, expressed the joy of connecting with those supporting loved ones living with dementia, offering expert advice on understanding the condition and providing support.

The session’s success has led to Springhead Health expressing interest in continuing similar sessions for their patients, local community, and staff. Christina, the owner of Home Instead Dartford, expressed gratitude for Springhead Health’s support in spreading dementia awareness locally, acknowledging their vital role in advancing our mission.

Home Instead Dartford, a dedicated home care company, extends its services across Abbey Wood, Erith, Belvedere, Bexley, Bexleyheath, Crayford, Dartford, Northfleet, and West Gravesend. Our comprehensive care offerings range from companionship and personal care to specialized services such as dementia, end-of-life care, catheter care, and stoma care, available from 1-hour to 24/7 support.

In addition to our commitment to dementia awareness, Home Instead Dartford conducts regular CPR awareness sessions, including practising this life-saving skill, learning how to put someone into recovery, and explaining how to use a defibrillator.

On the 1st Thursday of each month, we host St John’s Silver Birch Club in partnership with St John’s Church Erith.

Furthermore, every last Wednesday of the month features the ‘Singtastic Erith’ group, a singing and music-making initiative for wellbeing, in collaboration with Music4wellbeing charity.
