This isn’t just another care job. It’s a place to grow, belong, and be valued.
We believe brilliant care starts with a happy, confident team. That’s why we invest in you from the beginning and continue long after your first day. Here’s what you can expect when you join us:
– Comprehensive, ongoing training
You’ll get full induction training, shadow visits with experienced Care Professionals, and mentoring in your first few months. You’ll also have the chance to work towards a nationally recognised NVQ and take part in City & Guilds assured courses.
– No rushed visits
Our clients are never just numbers. We offer a minimum of one-hour visits and use block scheduling, so you have time to provide proper care and breathe between calls.
– We pay fairly for your time
You’ll be paid for travel and wait time between visits, and we also pay mileage, so you’re not losing money just getting from A to B.
– Real wellbeing support
From regular welfare check-ins and supervisions to wellbeing toolkits and peer support, we look after you as much as you look after others.
– A team you can rely on
You’ll have introductions before meeting new clients and regular catch-ups through Care Professional meetings. We’re big on communication and making sure you never feel alone out in the field.
– Fun and connection outside of work
Whether it’s our team picnic in summer or other get-togethers throughout the year, we make time to relax and enjoy each other’s company outside of shifts.
We offer a wide range of roles, with plenty of room to develop:
Leadership roles – for those looking to grow into management or quality assurance positions
Plenty of our team started in care with zero experience but had the natural kindness we were looking for. Now they’re thriving in roles they never imagined for themselves.
“I found Home Instead through the job centre. Before joining, I was working as a cleaner or in an office, but I never felt fulfilled in those roles. With Home Instead, I feel like I finally have a purpose. I absolutely love that in my job, I can help and encourage others in ways they didn’t think possible. Home Instead are amazing to work for, and I would love to stay with them for a very long time.
I have learned so much since joining. The dementia training, in particular, has really opened my eyes. Now, I feel confident working with people living with dementia, and I truly believe I can help them in meaningful ways. The training has empowered me to deliver the best possible care to my clients.
I once took a client to a local farm, and she absolutely loved it. She talked about it for ages afterwards, saying how it made her feel at one with nature. It was such a simple outing, but it brought her so much joy, and that made me incredibly happy as well.
Give Home Instead a call before you decide, and you will see what a great company they are. Go for it! You won’t ever look back! It’s so rewarding and fulfilling.”
If you want a job where your time is respected, your wellbeing is supported, and your growth is taken seriously, we’d love to hear from you.
