“An outstanding service. My Dad was trying a care home, and after a few months, he decided he was not ready to stay but needed care. At my request, the manager from Home Instead visited him before he returned home. After talking with Dad, she arranged for three male carers to visit him. She also educated me on some of the problems I was having and explained how she could help. She was the first person who not only understood my problems but provided me with actual solutions. Initially, Dad thought he did not need carers but after a few weeks, he looked forward to the visits as the carers became his good friends. Excellent service from all staff, both carers & office staff. My father had a team of regular carers, who became friends during the more than 2 years during which we used Home Instead.The office would always call me or one of my siblings to tell us in advance if a new carer would be visiting.
They were also most accommodating whenever we had specific requests, such as asking the carers to remind Dad to check his phones for messages.
When Dad had hospital appointments and no family member was available to accompany him, Home Instead provided carers to do this.
None of us live locally, but Home Instead enabled Dad to stay in his own flat until his last stay in hospital.
I can’t recommend Home Instead highly enough.

I would like to send a heartfelt thank you on behalf on my mum Anne for the love and care she has been shown by the people who have come into her life from ‘home instead’ to care for her in these last few years.  They were all wonderful companions and put effort into really understanding her needs and providing support for her to live a meaningful and fulfilled life as she faced the challenges of growing older.  Mam always spoke fondly of the ladies and saw them as good friends and she looked forward to their visits. 

Following a fall resulting in a complete shoulder replacement, she is now in a long term care home with carers who follow in your footsteps and she is very happy though she misses your company. Her days with home instead meant we knew she was supported well and this was a welcome respite for us as her carers. 

Thank you once again for going the extra mile, your kindness will be remembered.
