We’re proud to partner with Teesside Dementia Link Services (TDLS), a local charity dedicated to providing comprehensive support to individuals living with dementia and their families. TDLS offers a wide array of services designed to support those affected by dementia. Their programs focus on fostering community, providing education, and enhancing the quality of life for individuals and their caregivers.
Teesside Dementia Link Services Activities and Events Across Teesside
🧠 Dementia Cafés
TDLS hosts regular dementia cafés, providing safe and welcoming spaces for individuals with dementia and their carers to socialise and share experiences.
- Stockton Dementia Café: First Monday of each month, 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM at Stockton Parish Church Hall.
- Yarm Dementia Café: Third Monday of each month, 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM at Yarm Wellness Centre.
- Billingham Dementia Café: Second Monday of each month, 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM at St Aidan’s Parish Church Hall.
- Hemlington Dementia Café: Every Wednesday, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM at The Cart House Lakeside Café.
🧘 Wellness Activities
Engaging in physical activity is beneficial for both mental and physical health. TDLS offers various wellness programs:
- Yoga Club: Wednesdays (term time only), 10:45 AM – 11:45 AM at Yarm Wellness, High Church Wynd, Yarm, TS15 9BQ.
- Stockton Walking Group: Wednesdays, 12:45 PM – 2:45 PM at Ropner Park Café.
- Swimming Sessions: Tuesdays, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM at Ingleby Barwick.
🍽️ Social Dining Events
Sharing meals is a wonderful way to connect. TDLS organises various dining events:
- Brunch Club: Wednesdays, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at Ropner Park.
- Yarm Lunch Club: Tuesdays, 12:15 PM – 2:15 PM at The Grange.
- Soup & Chat Sessions: Regularly held at Thornaby Life Centre, providing a warm meal and friendly conversation.
