Menopause Support in the Workplace

Fostering a Supportive Environment

The well-being of our Home Instead team is really important to us. We believe that to care for others we must first care for ourselves.

Menopause support in the workplace is one area we’ve been looking at recently. It’s important because it affects a significant number of employees. Symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, and anxiety can impact on wellbeing, on confidence, on coping with the day to day stresses of life to maintain that all important work/life balance. So, when we heard that the Essex Menopause Coach, Julie Court was offering menopause workplace support we jumped at the chance.

Julie is helping us to ensure we support out staff with awareness sessions, practical tools and tips, and by fostering a supportive environment in the workplace to talk about menopause.

Empowering our Team

Julie was welcomed to our offices in Frinton for her first session with us in December 2025, She created a safe, honest and uplifting space where our Care Pros and Key Players gained a clear understanding of what’s happening during menopause, got some practical advice and tools to navigate this stage of life with confidence and explored how we can better support one another, both personally and professionally. Those who came along shared experiences and asked questions.

For Julie’s second visit in February 2026, our training room was transformed into a room of calm with yoga mats, blankets and pillows. Our team were treated to a wonderfully relaxing session that focused on breath work as a practical tool for regulating the nervous system, and restoring calm. Julie shared her knowledge about how the menopause can impact on us physically and emotionally. Everyone came away feeling calm, centred and with some top tips to deal with those challenges that we face day to day.

Feedback included: “I wanted to say thank you for the lovely menopause relaxation session on Friday. I felt so relaxed afterwards.”

It’s great to be able to offer these nurturing wellbeing sessions to our fantastic team, who do some much to care for others. We look forward to welcoming Julie back in March for our third and final session.
