A Year of Treasured Memories

At the end of each year, we bring our wonderful team together for our annual awards event where we celebrate the incredible care they afford our clients 365 days of the year.

A huge thank you goes to our dedicated Care Pros for the compassion, commitment, and teamwork they show each and every day. The care they provide goes far beyond tasks and routines – they bring comfort, dignity, companionship, and kindness into the lives of so many people in our community.

During 2025 they delivered 35000 hours of care. They made treasured memories with clients from being that trusted friend, helping clients celebrate birthdays and Christmas, encouraging clients with a passion, such as Daphne to play the piano or Trevor to sing, and helping clients get recognition for an interest, like Katharine’s poetry being acknowledged with a letter from Penguin Books, whose distribution centre is based just outside of Clacton.

There to Provide Calm Reassurance

As well as celebrating the joyful moments, we also recognised the times that are quieter, harder, and deeply emotional — when our Care Professional show the heart of what they do. They are there when a client has a fall at home, providing calm reassurance, comfort, and practical support until help arrives. When a client reaches the end of their life, our Care Pros quiet presence offers compassion, respect, and human connection in their final moments. In these moments, they don’t just provide care — they step up. They become the calm voice, the steady hand, the familiar face. They bring comfort when it is
needed most.

We are so grateful for their loyalty and years of service to Home Instead clients, and we are super proud of everything they achieve, it was great to celebrate with them.

Congratulations to our Award Winners

A massive congratulations to our well-deserving award winners for 2025:

Volunteer of the Year – Stephanie Blackman
Care Pro of the Year – Christy Ojo
Key Player of the Year – Jo Thorne
Team of the Year – Summer’s Team: Rachael, June, Toni, Heidi, Heather Blunt, Rose, Christy, Caley, and Maria.

Each represents the very best of what we stand for and their hard work, dedication, and positivity is inspiring.

We had a special guest come to hand out the team of the year’s award. Our amazing client, Summer, and her parents, Ed and Maggie. It was Summer’s team who scooped the award for the exceptional joy, compassion and creativity they put into Summer’s care and the positive difference they make to this brave, bright and vibrant young lady and her family. Summer’s surprise appearance made the the event so memorable, it was a truly heart-warming moment for all.
