Enjoy a Safe, Stress Free Holiday With Personalised Travel Care

Planning a holiday should feel exciting – not overwhelming. For many people who receive care at home, the idea of travelling can bring a mix of joy and uncertainty. You may be wondering how your care needs will be met, whether the destination is suitable, or how to make the trip safe and comfortable. On the other hand, you may not need or receive care, but as an older adult, the idea of travelling alone may be daunting or unfavourable. That’s exactly where our holiday support service comes in.

Our goal is simple: to enable you to enjoy a relaxing, memorable holiday with the reassurance of having a trusted Care Professional by your side. Whether you’re dreaming of a peaceful UK break or planning to travel abroad, we’re here to make your holiday possible.

A Simple, Supportive Process From the Very Start

We know that arranging care for a holiday can feel like a big step, so we’ve made the process as smooth and reassuring as possible. Everything begins with a friendly enquiry. Once you get in touch, we arrange a free home consultation at a time that suits you.

During this visit, we take the time to get to know you properly. We talk through your care needs, your holiday plans, and the type of support you feel most comfortable with. From there, we create a personalised care plan tailored specifically to your trip. We also complete a full risk assessment to ensure your destination, travel arrangements and accommodation are suitable for your needs.

This careful preparation means you can travel with confidence, knowing that everything has been thought through and planned with your safety and comfort in mind.

A Service Designed With Flexibility in Mind

Our holiday support service follows a similar structure and cost to our live-in care. This means you receive consistent, one-to-one support from a dedicated Care Professional who understands your needs and routines.

Because your Care Professional will be travelling with you, you would cover their travel and accommodation costs. This includes hotel stays and, if you’re heading abroad, their flights. When it comes to meals, you can either provide food during the holiday or offer a daily food allowance – whichever works best for you.

This approach ensures your Care Professional is fully available to support you throughout your trip, whether that means helping with personal care, mobility, medication, companionship, or simply being there to give you peace of mind.

Ideal for Week Long Breaks – With Flexibility for Regular Travellers

To make this service work smoothly, we usually recommend a minimum holiday length of one week. This allows enough time for your Care Professional to settle into the routine of the trip and provide consistent support.

However, if you’re someone who travels regularly – perhaps taking frequent short breaks – we can sometimes accommodate shorter holidays. We’re always happy to discuss your plans and explore what’s possible.

Book Early to Secure the Support You Need

Holiday care support requires thoughtful planning, especially when travel, accommodation and care needs all come together. To give us enough time to match you with the right Care Professional and make all necessary arrangements, we recommend getting in touch at least one month before you plan to travel.

The earlier you contact us, the easier it is to ensure everything is organsied smoothly – from risk assessments to travel logistics.

Support for a Wide Range of Care Needs

Many people assume that complex care needs make travelling impossible, but that isn’t always the case. While certain conditions or specialist equipment can create additional considerations – particularly for overseas travel – they don’t automatically rule out the possibility of a holiday.

If you’re planning a UK-based break, we can often source equipment locally at your destination, making travel much more accessible. Even for international trips, we’re happy to explore options with you and advise on what may or may not be feasible.

Our priority is always your safety, comfort, and enjoyment, and we’ll be honest and supportive throughout the planning process.
