'Time for a Cuppa' with Home Instead and Dementia UK

Time for a Cuppa is back and it’s bigger and better than ever! Home Instead have signed up! Have you?

Home Instead Senior Care are supporting Dementia UK across Lancashire from 1st to 8th March 2013 and Time for a Cuppa.

It's about bringing people together, raising funds and having fun. From a small tea party at home to a large community affair or a tea break at work, the money you raise will make a difference. 

Gail Godson, Director West Lancashire and Chorley office goes on to say, "With your kind assistance we can have some fun and help raise money to support Admiral Nurses who provide a lifeline to thousands of families in this country"

An estimated 1 million people will be diagnosed with dementia in the next 10 years and many more will be thrust into the role of being a carer.  

Everyone affected by dementia needs our help

Dementia UK is a national charity committed to improving quality of life for all people affected by dementia.

Dementia UK supports mental health nurses specialising in dementia care, Admiral Nurses.

Admiral Nurses provide a valuable lifeline to hundreds of people across the country. This can include psychological support to help family carers understand and deal with their feelings, practical advice and information on dementia, its impact and how to cope, referrals to other appropriate services and liaison with other professionals to provide support when it’s most needed.

Admiral Nurses work with family carers of all ages and backgrounds, tailoring support to their individual needs and challenges.
