Bringing People Together Through Music: Memories R Made Choir

We’re proud to recognise Memories R Made Choir for the welcoming, uplifting support it provides to people living with Dementia, carers and the wider community...

We’re delighted to recognise Memories R Made Choir as our October Community Star of the Month!

This wonderful local organisation creates a warm and welcoming environment for people living with Dementia and memory loss, as well as carers, family members, friends and anyone who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation.

Led by Caroline and a fantastic team of volunteers, each session brings people together through music, singing, instruments, dancing and chair-based exercise.

The result is much more than a choir session. It is an opportunity to connect, stay active, enjoy shared experiences, and simply have fun in the company of others.

Our Community Engagement Officer, Jayne, recently attended a Memories R Made session and described how uplifting it was to see the atmosphere in the room and the enjoyment created through music and singing.

For people living with Dementia and their families, welcoming community groups can provide valuable opportunities for social connection, companionship and meaningful engagement.

At Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley, we are always pleased to celebrate local organisations that help make our communities more supportive and inclusive for individuals and their loved ones.

A huge thank you to Caroline and everyone involved with Memories R Made Choir for the energy, care and commitment you bring to each session.

Congratulations on being named our October Community Star of the Month! A very well-deserved recognition for the positive difference you continue to make within the local community.
