The Rotary Club of Ormskirk - Charter Evening

The Rotary Club of Ormskirk recently held its 76th Annual Charter Dinner at Briars Hall Hotel, Lathom. The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor, Iain Ashcroft and Deputy Mayoress Beverley Ashcroft along with many other dignitaries from within Rotary, members of The Rotary Club of Ormskirk and their wives.

The Charter celebrations date back to 1937 and commenced with The Loyal Toast, which was given this year by Rtn President Paul Silcock and the privilege of reciting The Charter, was given to Rtn Robert Godson, Director of Home Instead.

Amongst all the fun and frivolity, The Charter night also celebrated all the good work that members of The Rotary Club of Ormskirk had unselfishly achieved over the last 12 months, these included hosting brick-a-brack stalls at the local Motor Fest and Ormskirk Market and the traditional Christmas collections, where very kind members of the local community generously donated over six thousand pounds, which will be quickly distributed to a number of charities and local good causes.
