Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley support "Rogue Traders Week", commencing 1st October. The Police and Trading Standards will be working in partnership to promote Rogue Trader Week. The initiative will see a week's worth of activity in and around Lancashire in relation to awareness of bogus callers and rogue traders for both consumers and traders. This annual event will see representatives from both services attending a number of local locations to highlight the dangers of employing rogue traders and suggesting ways consumers can prevent falling victim to dodgy traders. These events will include stalls, door to door leafleting & stopping trades vehicles to offer advice on correct trading practices.
Commenting on this excellent community strategy Robert Godson Director said " We commend Lancashire County Council, the Police and Trading Standards on this approach,Home Instead are registered on the Safe Trader site, which was established to give practical support, guidance and information for all adults in Lancashire and this is a perfect opportunity to promote the Safe Trader Scheme so that people know where to go to find a reputable trader"
Help Direct staff will also be giving out leaflets and marketing material to signpost to Help Direct & the Safe Trader Scheme and we at Home Instead will also be giving it our full support by "sign posting" it with our clients and wonderful staff.
