Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley were delighted to attend the recent N.H.S. West Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) ‘Clinical Executive Committee Meeting’ to present on our rating of Outstanding and engage with members of the committee and Tony Pounder the newly appointed head of Adult Services at Lancashire County Council (LCC) , who also attended.
Gail Godson Director of Home Instead said “we were so pleased when Mike McGuire, Chief Executive, N.H.S. West Lancashire CCG invited us to attend the meeting and it proved a very valuable opportunity to show case our slides that we had presented earlier in the year at the Care Quality Commission (CQC) ‘Excellence Conference’ in London”.
Gail goes on to say, ”Mike and the committee at West Lancashire CCG are very keen to understand about how Outstanding care in your own home is consistently delivered in the local community and how the high standards and qualities at Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley are used and cascaded throughout the organisation, in turn preventing many of the errors and failures that can be often associated with the care sector and that we read about in the national press “ “I am also very encouraged that Tony and his team at LCC recognise the scale of the challenge they face in the local West Lancashire community to ensure often the most vulnerable members of our community are given consistent care services in their own homes that are safe, effective, compassionate and of a high-quality”.
