Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley step in to provide support for vital Age UK Lancashire community services.

Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley Directors and co-owners Robert and Gail Godson were most disappointed to read an article published in the local Ormskirk and West Lancashire edition of Champion Newspaper, on the 23rd March, 2016.

Age UK Lancashire provide numerous valuable services for pensioners across West Lancashire and Chorley, Gail goes on to say ‘Age UK Lancashire will have a  shortfall of £12,000 in funds during the next 12 months via the removal of local grant funding!  this  was most concerning to read, particularly as vital services including lunch clubs, activity groups and daytime support are at risk’.

Following a short period of reflection, Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley are particularly delighted to confirm that we have made a donation of over £2,400.00 , together with the offer of weekly volunteers for 12months, helping support much needed Age UK Lancashire services and events in 2016/17.

We will also be encouraging other local business owners and members of the public to see if they can help Age UK Lancashire, during this difficult and most challenging period.
