The team at local care company, Home Instead Senior Care West Lancashire and Chorley , who provide care to older people in their own homes, are hoping to make this year’s Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk one to remember by raising as much money as possible to support local services.

Gail Godson, Director and owner of Home Instead said, “We specialise in providing care to older people, so the Alzheimer’s Society is a charity which is extremely close to our hearts. So many of our clients and their families have been affected in some way by dementia, and as such we are passionate about supporting them, as well as helping increase awareness of the condition.

“We’re looking for people from our local community to come and join us for the walk, which will take place on 5th October at Aintree Race Course. No matter the weather or your level of fitness, it’s the perfect opportunity for everyone across West Lancashire and Chorleyto get together and really make a difference to the lives of older people in our community. Plus, it’s a whole lot of fun!”
