Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Cafés available in West Lancashire
Alzheimer’s Society is running Dementia Cafés throughout West Lancashire, providing opportunities for people who are affected by dementia to learn more about the illness.
The cafés will allow people with dementia, their families and carers the chance to learn from others’ experiences and pick up tips from professionals on living with Dementia.
Dementia affects around 800,000 people in the UK, with the risk of developing the illness normally increasing in people over the age of 65. Signs of dementia include memory loss and problems with thinking speed, mental agility, understanding and judgement.
