Highlighting our involvement in local events during Dementia Action Week and our year-round support for those living with Dementia...
DuringDementia Action Week, our team our proudly took part in several local events to connect with families, share information, and raise awareness of Dementia and the service’s available in our local community to help people remain at home, safely for longer.
At Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley, we are passionate about raising awareness around Dementia and offering meaningful support to the individuals and families living with this every day. As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, we regularly deliver FREE Dementia Awareness workshops to local businesses, charities, and individuals. These sessions aim to build understanding, improve communication and create more Dementia-aware spaces.
Take a look at what we got up to during Dementia Action Week, in the pictures below…
We were honoured to be invited along to have our own stall setup. Speaking with attendes about the Dementia care services that we provide in the community. It was also a wonderful opportunity to work alongside other local services and provide guidance to individuals and families seeking support.
Carol, our fantastic Community Partnership Manager, was on-hand at Ormskirk Library. Welcoming anyone who wanted to pop by for chat. Whether it was learning more about Dementia care or simply seeking advice, we were there to listen and help.
Bringing our support directly into the heart of the community, we spent the day at Ormskirk Market. It was wonderful to see people from the local area stop by to learn more our services and to discover the FREE community events that we regularly host and are involved in. It was also fantastic to see existing Clients enjoying the day out with their amazing Care Pro.
Providing a helping hand to the lovely event run by Genesis Care, our Head of Care Professionals, Nikki, and Care Professional, Susan volunteered on the day to provide support. It was a joyful afternoon filled with music, dancing, connection, and some tasty treats – all for a great cause of raising awareness around Dementia.
