Local Businesses Step Up to Support Dementia Awareness in West Lancashire

Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley recently brought together a group of local organisations for a FREE Business Dementia Awareness Workshop, held at the West Lancashire Investment Centre.

The event welcomed teams from West Lancashire District Council, Southport Golf Academy, The Farm Burscough, Forest Footprints, and Paladin Locksmiths – all committed to learning how they can better support individuals living with Dementia.

Through engaging, practical training, attendees gained valuable insights into dementia and how to make their services more inclusive. Each business received a Certificate of Completion and became a member of the West Lancashire Dementia Support Group – a new initiative celebrating businesses that go the extra mile for their community.

As part of this initiative, participating organisations will be featured in our upcoming Community Guides, showcasing their commitment to creating a Dementia-aware West Lancashire.
