November 2023 Rewind - A Snapshot of our Latest News and Developments.

Lets take a look back together at everything we have been up to over the last month. Happy to bring attention to the various events and celebrations that have took place!

A snapshot of our latest news and developments.

Over the past month, we were able to welcome new roles to the operations, celebrate birthdays and milestones, and as always took part in local community activities and hosted events too!

Five-star feeling!

One thing we are always so immensely proud to be able to promote online and to others, is the wonderful pieces of feedback and compliments we receive on a regular basis! Whether it’s from Care Pros about the skilled and specialised training we provide, or whether it’s our amazing Clients expressing their admiration for the care services we deliver to them. Every time we’re able to see these, proof of the positive impact we are making in the community, it warms our hearts!

November was now different for kind testimonials to be sent our way. One we would like to highlight here is from the family of one of our Clients. Posted online and rating us on FIVE-STARS across numerous categories. These being;

– Overall Experience
– Staff
– Care/Support
– Management
– Treated with Dignity

This is so fantastic to read! Giving value to the testament of our team and the dedicated work that takes place each and every day! We can only hope to receive many more of these in the near future!

Community Connections

As we mentioned, we have once again been out and about in our communities that we serve. This is thanks to the great partnerships that our Community Partnership Manager, Carol has been able to make through her networking with various local organisations and care charities.

Like we do every month, we had both our Community Social Groups take place. One in Ormskirk and the other in Rainford! Where we were joined by the Alzheimer’s Society who came in to speak about and provide information on the services and awareness, they help promote to assist those not only struggling, but living with Alzheimer’s too!

If our Community Social Groups sound like something that would interest you, or someone that you know, then why not come along to either event we have next month. With both December CSGs being fit for the season, as there will be many festive-themed activities to take part in! See the details below for further information;

– Wednesday 13th December 2023
Ormskirk Community Social Group
Christ Church (Aughton) – from 13.00 to 15.30

– Thursday 21st December 2023
Rainford Community Social Group
Village Hall – from 13.30 to 15.30

In addition, we also had some partnership events we were apart of too! Firstly, Carol paid a visit to the social golfing event run by Duxbury Park Golf Course every Tuesday! Something we love to be able to attend at least once a month. Seeing just how well the team are doing there in providing a way for people living with Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s to have a session they can enjoy! Socialising and taking part in some light get-moving type exercises! [Check out our article about the social golfing event here –> https://www.homeinstead.co.uk/chorley-lancashire/blog/golfing-together/]

On Tuesday 28th, we helped co-host an event with About the Town – Skelmersdale to provide a session of our FREE Dementia Training Awareness! We were so happy to see so many people attend and hope that it was an engaging and knowledge-boosting morning. With people walking away with certificates of completion from us [See pictures from the event here –> https://www.facebook.com/homeinsteadwestlancsandchorley/posts/pfbid0T1LxRdyovXjFakfPqQ2cUCrDsHHtmq6JmyZe3kTqWX4hPm6sXkK3tP57uhP27oR7l?notif_id=1701177783814066¬if_t=feedback_reaction_generic&ref=notif].

If you missed this event, we are glad to announce that our next session of free training will be on February 8th. Taking place at Skelmersdale Concourse Shopping Centre! Stay tuned to out social media accounts for more details as we get closer to that date!

Birthday Buzz!

Over the past couple of weeks, we revelled in the enjoyment of not one, but TWO birthday celebrations within the Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley family!

Though the days have already happened now, we still want to again wish them, at least a belated, Happy Birthday! Hoping you all had great days!

Delivering Joy

For the fourth year in a row, the UK homeware giants, Dunelm are partnering up with local schools, care homes, and refuges to help ‘Deliver Joy’ into local communities across the country.
Which, we are proud to announce, is an incredible initiative that we are happy to support! Wanting to help the cause, raise awareness, and to make sure those that usually receive a gift at Christmas, are not being forgotten!
