Looking back at Dementia Action Week 2026

dementia action week in west lancashire and chorley by home instead

Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley was proud to support this year’s Dementia Action Week, taking part in community events focused on raising awareness, encouraging early diagnosis, and helping local people access vital Dementia support services in their community.

Throughout the week, our team met with members of the community to offer advice, information, and support around Dementia and the services available for individuals and families across West Lancashire and Chorley.

We hosted a drop-in session at Janie’s Tearoom in Burscough, creating a welcoming space for people to speak with our team about the early signs of Dementia, care options, and local support available. It was fantastic to see so many people come along and take part in these important conversations.

We also joined fellow members of the Chorley Dementia Action Group at the Dementia Support Surgery at the Bowling Green in Chorley, alongside a range of local organisations offering advice, guidance, and support to those living with Dementia and their loved ones.

Dementia Action Week highlights just how important community support and open conversations are in helping people feel informed and supported.

If you or a loved one would like advice about Dementia care or the support services available in your area, our friendly team at Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley is here to help. Get in touch with us today to find out more about how we can support you.
