At Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley, we are passionate about supporting people living with Dementia – and just as importantly, educating the wider community to do the same.

That is why we were absolutely delighted to present the team at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre with a Certificate of Completion following their participation in one of our FREE Dementia Awareness Workshop sessions.

As a well-loved local attraction, Martin Mere plays a big role in welcoming visitors of all ages and abilities. Their decision to take part in our training reflects a proactive commitment to making their site more inclusive and supportive for those living with Dementia.

Their team was not only engaged and enthusiastic, but also thoughtful in how they approached the subject. They asked great questions, shared valuable insights, and showed a clear dedication to learning how best to support every visitor who walks through their doors.

We want to say a big thank you to the team at Martin Mere for leading by example. 💚👏

If you’re a local business, charity, or community group, we’d love to offer this FREE workshop to you too! Together, we can build a more Dementia-aware and compassionate community.
