Chorley Dementia Action Group - Our Chorley Community Stars of the Month

At Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley, we believe in celebrating the people and partnerships that truly make a difference in our community. That’s why we’re thrilled to name Chorley Dementia Action Group as our Chorley Community Stars this month.

This outstanding group brings together local organisations, charities, and community services with one shared goal: to build a more Dementia-friendly Chorley – a place where people living with Dementia, their families, and carers feel understood, supported, and valued.

The Chorley Dementia Action Group is a brilliant example of what happens when people come together with purpose and compassion. The group hosts a monthly Dementia Hub in Chorley – a relaxed, welcoming space where individuals can drop in for advice, support, or even just a friendly chat.

These sessions are open to everyone and serve as a vital touchpoint for those seeking connection, guidance, or resources related to dementia care and awareness.

We’re proud to work alongside the group as an active member. This partnership allows us to continue supporting our local community in meaningful ways – through sharing knowledge, co-hosting events, and delivering our FREE Dementia Awareness Workshops to help local businesses and services become more inclusive and understanding.
