We were proud to support Dementia awareness through a gold-winning garden display at Chorley Flower Show 2025...
We were delighted to take part in this year’s Chorley Flower Show, a truly inspiring weekend that brought together creativity, community, and care.
Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley proudly partnered with fellow charter members of the Chorley Dementia Action Group (AgeUK Lancashire, Genesis Care Centre, DementiaUK, Chorley Council, Alzheimer’s Society, Sporting Memories, and others) to contribute to a specially designed garden display aimed at raising awareness about Dementia and promoting inclusion across our local area.
The hard work and passion of everyone involved paid off, as our collaborative garden was honoured with a Gold Award by the judges – a fantastic recognition of the impact and thought behind the design 🌿🏅
A special highlight of the weekend was the chance to meet Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons, and the Mayor of Chorley (Alistair Morwood), both of whom showed their support for the work being done locally to create Dementia-aware spaces and conversations.
At Home Instead, we’re committed not only to delivering exceptional care at home but also to contributing positively to our wider community. Events like the Chorley Flower Show remind us just how much can be achieved when local organisations come together with shared purpose and compassion.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this event a success!
