An Afternoon to Remember: Tea, Tunes, and Togetherness

We are thrilled to look back on the wonderful success from our FREE Afternoon Tea Dance event! From the moment the first guest arrived, Cottage Lane Mission was filled with warmth, laughter, and the true spirit of community! It was a joy to see everyone enjoying themselves throughout the evening and we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Live music from Hattie Bee set the perfect tone for the afternoon. Inspiring graceful waltzes, lively jives, and some all-round heart-warming moments between friends, families, and loved ones.

A very special thank you goes to Deputy Mayor, Cllr Anne Fennell, for joining us and supporting the event. Her kind words and presence added that extra touch of community togetherness and we are so grateful for her ongoing encouragement.

We also had a free prize raffle with gifts from amazing local businesses, Mr Thompson’s Bakery, Henry & Co Ormskirk, Morrisons Ormskirk, and Bloom & Brew. We want to extend heartfelt appreciation to those that generously donated prizes, playing a key role in making the raffle a success.

Whilst the event was completely free to attend, there was donation boxes available for anyone that wanted to offer a little something to kindly support the great working being done by Queenscourt Hospice

Of course, no tea dance would be complete without delicious treats. The tea, coffee, sandwiches, and cakes were enjoyed by all, offering the perfect opportunity to sit down and share a chat with good food and the music playing.
