A Christmas Community Partnership with the Co-op in Aughton

In this festive period, it was a pleasure to partner alongside the Co-op in Aughton as part of their christmas tree initiative that saw gifts donated to the local community...

We could not be prouder to be an active part of our local community, one that truly understands the challenges this festive season can bring. Seeing the effort people make to come together and support one another is genuinely heart-warming.
A special shout-out goes to the Co-op (Aughton) for their amazing Christmas Tree gift initiative.
This compassionate initiative gives people the opportunity to make a difference and select special gift tags from the Christmas tree, detailed solely with the age and gender of the potential Christmas Gift recipient.
In turn by selecting and donating a specific Christmas present aligned with the gift tag details, you are helping to bring a little extra joy and happiness to local families this Christmas morning.
One of our Home Instead Directors Gail Godson was so impressed by the care and thoughtfulness of this initiative, she arranged with the kind support of the Home Instead Senior Leadership Team and Lianne, the Store Manager at the Co-op Aughton, for Home Instead to provide gifts for the entire tree of gift tags, not wishing to miss anyone out at this wonderful festive time of year.
It was fantastic to hear further from Lianne, the store manager, the public’s response has been overwhelming to the point that Co-op Aughton have even had to use another Co-op store’s warehouse to manage the incredible volume of donations, for both their Christmas Tree gifts and a lovely food bank initiative they are also running.
Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley are proud and delighted to have been able to get involved with a fantastic and heat warming community partnership, donating gifts for young people aged from just newborn up to 16, that will help spread a little cheer, happiness and kindness, on Christmas morning, and helping to make this festive season a little brighter.
