How Home Instead Chingford Delivers Person Centred Care

Read below to see how our team at Home Instead Chingford strive to provide the highest quality of care.

At Home Instead Chingford we pride ourselves on the quality support we give to all our Care Professionals. Our onboarding process gives an in-depth introduction to care, and a great start to delivering Person Centred Care. This is accompanied with ongoing training to the highest standard using our industry leading training programmes some of which are accredited by City & Guilds. We also use the expertise of nursing and medical professionals to support the training of our Care Professionals.

Following this we continuously adapt our training and development for all our team members to meet the requirements of our clients. This includes specialising in Dementia care, Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neurons and learning more about the ageing process, all of which affect the clients we support. Hydration and nutrition and different dietary needs are also key development opportunities for the team.

Additionally, many of our Care Professionals are Dementia Friends, this is an Alzheimer’s Society initiative. This provides them with added skills to help those suffering with Dementia and family’s cope. Being a dementia friend teaches a person more about how dementia affects a person and the understanding of how to effectively support those living with this chronic illness.

Dementia Friends

The feedback we receive from our clients and the health professionals continues to be very positive, especially concerning the high standard of Care Professionals we employ, and the outstanding care service they deliver day by day. This is truly complimented by our annual survey PEAQ Pursuing Excellence through Advancing Quality reviews. We use these reviews to provide a constructive space to grow as a care organisation.

During 2024 we plan to broaden our services and deliver more Health Care at Home services. We recognise that due the increasing pressure on the NHS, the need to support our clients at home is imperative as hospital waiting times and longer wait times to get GP appointments are a concern. Home Instead Chingford are ideally placed to support this ever-growing need.

Finally, our desire in 2024 is to be more involved in the community and to create and support local initiatives that get and keep our elderly independent and active! Our recently appointed Community Engagement Officer, Kristina Eimertaite has been getting out and about visiting local programmes and raising funds for great causes. Please feel free to contact Kristina if you would like us to promote your initiative or need a partner to help in whatever aspect required.

Our continued mission is to – “Brighten the lives of ageing adults giving them a sense of purpose, wellbeing & worth”.
