The care I receive helps me to keep my independence, despite living with Parkinson's Disease

Tony and his family describe how specialist trained Home Instead carers have improved Tony's health and well being over the last year

Tony’s Story

Tony, 78, lives in Chichester and in 2018 was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. In February 2023 he went into hospital for a prostate operation and caught COVID.

Like many older adults, Tony became extremely weak in hospital – for adults over the age of 80, 10 days in hospital equates to 10 years of muscle wastage.

Specialist Parkinson's Care with Home Instead

Tony and his family were very worried about how he would cope on his own when discharged home from St Richards hospital in Chichester.

When searching for care they were particularly interested in finding a care provider whose staff were trained in specialist conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Dementia and rehabilitation.

The video describes the family’s search for the right care and support, and how the decision to accept help with Home Instead Chichester & Bognor Regis, with the matching of dedicated and specialist trained care assistants, has had a positive outcome for Tony.
