The Launch

The much-anticipated End of Life Network Launch Event took place at the Minerva Theatre Brasserie in Chichester earlier this month, bringing together professionals, community leaders, and organisations united by one shared purpose; to improve end-of-life experiences for individuals and their loved ones across our region.

As Lead Sponsor, Home Instead was proud to support and be part of this important milestone that marked the beginning of an inspiring new collaboration between health, social care, and community partners.

An Evening of Insight, Compassion and Connection

The evening was opened by BBC’s Matthew Bannister, who shared his own moving reflections and experiences around loss, compassion, and the power of open conversation. His words set the tone for what became an evening of deep connection, empathy, and shared purpose.

Guests included representatives from hospices, hospitals, care providers, charities, clergy, local authorities, and community organisations, all coming together to explore how we can better support people at the end of life and those who care for them.

There was a real sense of collaboration in the room, conversations flowed easily, connections were made, and the passion for change was truly palpable.

Driven by Vision and Compassion

The event was the culmination of months of work and dedication led by Bev, whose vision and commitment have been the driving force behind the creation of the End of Life Network. Her passion for ensuring that end-of-life care is treated with the dignity, understanding, and coordination it deserves was evident throughout the evening.

We are incredibly proud to support Bev and all those involved in launching this initiative – a network that promises to bridge gaps, share best practice, and create a stronger, more compassionate community of care.

What’s Next for the Network

This launch was just the beginning. The End of Life Network will continue to grow and evolve, hosting future events, workshops, and opportunities for collaboration. Its aim is to connect professionals across all sectors, from health and care to legal, spiritual, and community support, ensuring that everyone involved in end-of-life care feels informed, connected, and empowered.

We encourage anyone with a shared passion for improving end-of-life care to follow the End of Life Network for updates and opportunities to get involved.

Together, we can make a real difference in how people experience the end of life; with compassion, dignity, and support at every stage.
