We're Supporting Carers Week and Loneliness Awareness Week 🌟

Empowering Carers and Building Connections: Our dual focus this awareness week..

Next week (09–15 June 2025) marks both Carers Week and Loneliness Awareness Week — two important campaigns that shine a light on the challenges many people face every day.

At Home Instead Chelmsford, we’re proud to stand alongside our local community to offer support, connection, and a friendly face at two fantastic events:

🧺 Communitea Picnic

📅 Wednesday 11th June
🕦 11:30am – 2:30pm
📍 ARU Writtle, Fox Burrows Lane Sports Ground, CM1 3SS

Join us for a relaxed community picnic full of good company, conversation, and treats! Hosted by Kinder Essex and partners, this event is a great way to connect with others and enjoy the outdoors.

💛 This event is open to everyone of all ages – there’s no cost involved at all. We’re coming together to help connect people and support Loneliness Awareness Week.
✨ Every stall (including ours!) will be offering a free activity for you to enjoy – and we’ve even got a live singer providing entertainment throughout the afternoon! 🎶
🥪 Just bring your own picnic, bring a friend (or make new ones there!), and enjoy a lovely day filled with connection, laughter, and community spirit.

💙 Carers Information Session – Carers Week Event

📅 Thursday 12th June
🕙 10:00am – 12:30pm
📍 Scout Hut, Brickhouse Farm, Maldon, CM9 6NG

We’ll be joining a wide range of local organisations to support unpaid carers with advice, offer information, support, a cuppa and a friendly chat to all unpaid carers. Free refreshments and parking available!

We look forward to seeing you there! Whether you’re a carer, feeling isolated, or just want to learn more about local support, come along and say hello 👋

If you look after someone who couldn’t manage without you, this event is for you 💜
