Free information sessions for our local community.

The session was a great opportunity to find out about the vast range of dementia support that's available, not only for those living with dementia but also for their families

There is a lot of support in our local community for people as they age. However, for the families, it can be daunting and difficult to know where to turn to get the right advice, when concerns arise about your parents and older family members.

This is where our free Key to Care sessions are able to help……..

Our first session concentrated on Dementia Care & Support and it was a great opportunity to find out about the vast range of support that is available, not only for those living with dementia but for their families as well.

It was also a great opportunity for local support groups, who made new connections throughout the day and obtain new knowledge, which will then enable them to support our community in more ways.

We would like to thank all those who attended our first ‘Key to Care’ session, especially:

REMAP brought along some of their custom-made equipment and adaptations for people with a disability, so they are able to overcome and manage everyday challenges.

Fundangles / Side by Side is a singalong dementia-friendly fun group that holds regular events and support groups for all.

United in Kind helps to tackle and reduce loneliness in Essex.

Other Halves is a local support group for families of those living with dementia.

Alzheimer’s Society provides support and advice for everyone touched by dementia.

Carers First provide help, advice, and support for unpaid carers.
