The end of October marked an end of an era for Home Instead Chelmsford, as we said goodbye to our Registered Care Manager Michelle who decided that the time was right to retire.

After having worked in social care for over 25 years and working her way up through the ranks, Michelle joined our family in 2016 and has been an amazing manager over the years, so we knew we had to make her last day with us one to remember and what better day for it to fall on than Halloween…!

We chose to host our ‘Ugly Bug Ball’alongside our farewell, and unbeknown to Michelle, we secretly invited clients and past care professionals along to enjoy in the fun and wish her well in her retirement.

It was an absolutely amazing day and we had so much fun 🎃👻 and it was a lovely surprise for Michelle to have so many people turn up to say goodbye,

Jo provided an amazing array of food for everyone, and we had a good dance and sing along with our clients to Vera Lyn, Frank Sinatra and The Drifters LP’s on a fabulous free standing record player.

It has been an absolute honour to work with you Michelle, thank you for your wisdom, support and guidance. We are so pleased that you had such a fun, memorable last day with everyone 🥰
This farewell is hard, but we all wish you the best!
