The opening for the shop was celebrated in the summer; many people from the local community came to watch and share the occasion with owner, Charlotte Johnson, local MP , Jane Hunt, the Home Instead Charnwood office team and most importantly their CAREGivers and clients. It took a few further months to move the team over and be fully registered at the Loughborough location, however, the team are now all permanently based there and at the heart of the community at all times.
For the grand opening the MP of Loughborough, Jane Hunt, came along to welcome the new shop into the local community and officially cut the ribbon.
It is important to the team that the service is available to all – they know that care is often a panic buy, and when a loved one needs unexpected support. By having a high street presence the hope is that Home Instead can support those that may benefit from the service before a time of crisis; offer advice and support to the local community on range of topics including: living with dementia to standing up to falls and how to prevent them.
