We had a great CareGiver drop in on Friday.

Sophie had arranged with the Alzheimer’s Society for one of their amazing volunteers to come and talk with us about becoming a Dementia Friend.

Although we support many clients with Dementia in the community, its important that we learn how to spot people living with Dementia in the community that may need extra assistance and support them in a way that maintains their dignity.

Doug taught us interesting facts about Dementia and how people living with it can still lead fulfilling and happy lives.

We had a great time and everyone walked away with a Dementia Friends badge which we will all wear with pride whilst out in the community.

A huge thank you to Doud and all of the CareGivers for attending and contributing another way that we can help enhance our clients lives.
