Each year we ask our clients and CAREGivers to complete a questionnaire in confidence to tell us what is working and what isn't. This year's survey was conducted in June 2017 by an independent market research company we are delighted to have received a huge vote of confidence – as both a homecare provider and an employer in turn - 100% of clients would recommend us, 100% of CAREGivers are proud to work for us and 100% of CAREGivers understand why Home Instead is different from other care companies.
What clients said:
- 100% say their CAREGiver arrives on time
- 97% say their CAREGiver is well matched to their needs
- 100% are likely to recommend Home Instead
Delighted with the findings, Jan, Jon & Steve Gapper Owners of Home Instead Central Hampshire said: “We are committed to providing only the very best care and companionship to our clients and it is good to know that we are getting it right. We take time to care, both for our clients and our CAREGivers. It’s good to know that we are getting it right in their eyes too."
“Our calls are a minimum of one hour because we believe quality care can’t be delivered in less. And we make sure that our clients are well matched to their CAREGivers based on mutual interests. The survey results demonstrate just how important this is, as 97% of clients agreed that their CAREGiver is matched to their needs. We believe relationship-led homecare has to have these core principles at its heart."
“But changing the face of homecare isn’t just about our clients. It is also about our CAREGivers, the incredible people who go the extra mile each and every day caring for their clients, special people who are recruited for their empathy and compassion.”
The results show that CAREGivers feel valued, respected and part of the bespoke Home Instead ethos: 100% understood why Home Instead is different from other care companies, 98% say they are given enough time to deliver desired levels of care to clients, 100% are proud to work for Home Instead and100% would recommend its services to friend."
Jan Gapper added, “The results endorse the difference Home Instead is making to the lives of clients and CAREGivers in Central Hampshire every day. Together we are changing the face of homecare.”
“ " I honestly can't rate everyone at Home Instead highly enough. From the wonderful carers to the lovely people in head office, everyone is so kind, compassionate, flexible and understanding with both my wonderful mum who they take such good care of and myself as well. Mum's needs have changed dramatically in the short space of time we have been with Home Instead and everyone has worked incredibly hard to adapt quickly to accommodate them. Their communication is excellent and if there are any flags of concern the carers will inform the office who will, in turn, inform me. The carers are so great with Mum and I often enjoy being in the house when they are there and listening in to their interactions. They are always so positive and uplifting and this always rubs off on Mum. To everyone at Home Instead, thank you from the bottom of our hearts." ’’
We are very happy with all you do for Mum. Your carers are exceptional and make it possible for Mum to live in her own home which she loves.
Mr and Mrs P
Thank you so much for the wonderful service you provide for us. We are so pleased that we chose Home Instead, and thank you both, especially, for your openness, care and support and for all the carers and office staff. You have made a real difference to our lives and allowed us to continue on our own home. Thank you for all you do for us.
Thanks to the CAREGivers for the wonderful care you gave to Mum and Dad, you really are the best and I would recvommend you to any new clients.
Thanks too to the office team for your help and patience when I frequently had to ask for timetable changes or extra help.
A big thank you to you both and all the staff at Home Instead for all that you do in keeping Mum happy at home.
We cannot thank you all enough for the difference you have made to Mum and all our family - helping keep Mum safe at home is so important to Mum and us. You are a big part of our lives. Thank you.
For now, I would like to say a huge thank you for the dedication, warmth and care that your caregivers have given my mother over the last 2 years. It was so reassuring for us to know she was being seen frequently and cared for. We are aware of the 'above and beyond' that went on and that was also really appreciated. We would no doubt recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care
Dr M E
I would like to thank you and Jan and all the staff, especially Donnette for the wonderful care that my mother has had from you. I would be more than happy to recommend you.
What can I say but Thank you, Thank you for caring for my husband so graciously and tenderly. Thank you for supporting me and for those who became part of the family as together we maintained his dignity and did our best to ease his struggle.
A note of deep gratitude for helping us through one of the most difficult of times and thanks for sending us such outstanding caregivers.
Apart from great professional skill they all showed such kindness, compassion and good humour and we became a team - all dedicated to doing the best that could be managed.
I am sure that you are very proud of them and so am I.
My warmest thanks to all the office staff - again showing great kindness whatever was coming their way.
I would like you and your team to know how much I appreciate your efforts on my behalf; what a bonus their cheerful enthusiasm proved and please may I still stay on your books? Your personal skills as an organiser, in terms of speed, accuracy and willingness to solve any problem at the shortest notice was truly remarkable - thank you all.
I wanted to pass on my grateful thanks for the consistently high standard of care which was delivered by all your staff during Mum's recent illness. You can be proud of the appreciation which we all feel for the Home Instead crew members who cared for Mum. The outcome is not what we had hoped for, but my wife and I know that the high standard of care when Mum was at home was a considerable comfort to all involved.
A huge thank you for all you and Dad's "Angels" have done for the care of my parents over the last couple of years. We, the family, have felt incredibly helped and supported by the knowledge that Home Instead have always been there for them,--- and we have all made lasting contacts and friendships, which we value so highly. Mum's care is taking all Dad's resources for the moment---but we hope at some time in the future to see you again! Please pass on to the team our grateful thanks. Best thoughts and thanks to you all.
I am a Paramedic with South Central Ambulance service. Yesterday I attended a call to the house of M in Alresford, where carers Steve and Susan had found M suffering complications of her ongoing illnesses. I wanted to commend both Steve and Susan for their professionalism, empathy and dedication to their roles. Unfortunately in our line of work we find ourselves in many situations where care staff do not meet our expectations, but yesterday myself and my colleague were definitely impressed. Without Steve and Susan’s understanding of M’s health, character and needs, supported by the comprehensive documentation that we found in her care folder we certainly would have not been able to treat her at home so rapidly and accurately, possibly requiring hospital admission which would have been against M’s desires. The flexibility where Susan was able to stay with M whilst she recovered, helping us with what needed doing, and for Steve to come back later was undoubtedly beneficial as a familiar friendly face to reassure her that everything was going to be ok. Please pass on my gratitude, you are doing a wonderful job – perfect service, care and compassion and exactly what our elderly and vulnerable deserve! Thank you again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the kindness, help and support you have given to Mum throughout the course of this year. You are a brilliant team - we are so fortunate to have found you - the quality of life you have given mum through what can be tough times is worth its weight in gold.
We wanted to pass on our thanks and feedback about our mum. From what we can tell, things are working out really well with the carers. Mum speaks positively about them, and given how resistant she was initially to having help, this is an achievement in itself! She seems to be doing fairly well in herself and so we feel that the carers are a positive influence on her well-being. We are really pleased to hear that she is going for a walk with the carers regularly, and hope that these walks can continue through the winter (unless it's bitterly cold), as they are so beneficial for her. The daily support and social interaction that mum is getting from the carers is helping her and taking some pressure off us, and is much appreciated. Thanks to you all.
Thank you again for all the special care I received. You run an excellent business, I feel quite bereft now that I am not seeing your caregivers any more. If I ever need special treatment again I will know where to come. Many friends between here and Alresford have been most impressed!
I cannot really say how much we all owe to you and your splendid team for all the time, energy, patience and all the rest you have done over the last months to make it easier for us. It must be quite a strain for you and the girls to maintain both efficiency and a cheerful attitude - you have trained them well.
Just to say thank you so much for looking after Mum so well over the past few weeks, we really do appreciate everything you have done.
Both of us were impressed by the care and help given by Julie and Karen and Mum stressed how much she had enjoyed talking to them both. We will have no hesitation in availing ourselves of your services if the need should arise again.
JG & AF
Thank you all so much for the sensitive and kind care you have given Mum over the last couple of years. Thanks too for the kindness and support you have given us in helping to change care as and when it was needed.
We have been very impressed with the way your staff have coped with Mum and they have all acted very caringly and very professionally. Barbara has been a particular star. After Mum had an assessment by Social Services, we were allocated 4 hours per week respite care (but not allowed to use Home Instead!) starting just nine weeks ago in the middle of January. The service from the other care provider has been nothing like as impressive. I have already passed your details to a friend and I hope they will take up your service. You deserve to do well.
As I have said before we are deeply grateful to you all for the excellent service that you and your carers are giving. We are thankful for the skill and expertise in administration and in the on hands care for mother. In addition we are also grateful for the warm manner in which you all work and for the understanding you are showing when changes occur. So sincere thanks from myself and the family to all of you for your help.
Mrs J F
Thank you for making my life so easy and enjoyable.
Miss M K and family
You are a wonderful team! Thank you for giving us some peace of mind - just to know that you see mum twice a week is so reassuring. It must have had its moments but we do know that coming to your company was the best thing we did in 2012.
Mr & Mrs B
Thank you for all the care and kindness you've shown to our mother during her last year at home. I think Home Instead is a brilliant operation - we certainly couldn't have done it without you and all your lovely staff.
Mrs B B
I am so very appreciative of the care that you and your ladies have supplied over the past months and I know that I could not have managed without it,
Thank you both for your help, it has been good to meet you. I know who to call if I need any further help!
On behalf of my mother and all of us please accept our warm thanks for your support, counsel and professional help.
Mrs D G
Thank you so very much for your support and kindness during these last weeks. It gives a whole new meaning to "I couldn't have done it without you"!
Mrs P P
Janice was an absolute GEM, I don't know what I would have done without her. Mum loved her and looked forward to her cheery face and beautiful manner every day. I can't thank her enough.
Thank you so much for all your help. You're great fun and I enjoyed meeting you.
We began using Home Instead (Central Hampshire) for my father-in-law at the beginning of January 2021, when he began needing help with food preparation, encouragement with mobility, companionship, medication supervision and personal hygiene. From the initial call to the office, all our dealings with the staff, at the initial assessment meeting and subsequently over the phone and via email have been friendly, professional, efficient and helpful. The care plan was produced efficiently and speedily. The mobile phone app is really useful for updates and gives peace of mind. The small team of carers have been reliable, consistent, punctual and communicative. We are extremely grateful to them all.
This is an excellent caring service. All of the staff are kind, professional, knowledgeable and dedicated. The ladies that visit have been amazing; they treat my parents with dignity and yet they are friendly and fun, too. The carers arrive when they said they would and get on with whatever needs doing. They are hard-working and proactive. I have been able to relax after years of worry, thanks to these ladies. The office staff and managers that support the carers are very warm and approachable; they are on top of all the detail and regularly monitor the care plans to ensure the best care for my mum and dad. I thoroughly recommend Home Instead; in fact, I came to this company, myself, after a personal recommendation. They have a well-deserved reputation. They really are the best in Winchester. Thank you to all of the staff - from all of my family.
