To support our work in Carer’s Awareness Week, we visited one of the Care’Diff support groups in Cardiff. These are run for the many unpaid carers we have across Cardiff who help the people in their care, to live their best lives.
Unpaid Carers are extraordinary people who need to be recognized, appreciated and supported for their tireless work. The Care’Diff groups offer a valuable space to share, swap tips, gain information, but most importantly a place to just enjoy a cuppa and a chat. In our group we shared our experiences, and even had a few laughs. Support groups also provide an opportunity for carers to take a break and take part in fun activities.
To have access to spaces like this is really important, as circumstances constantly change when caring for someone and there will always be a need to seek out new advice and information.
If you would like to attend one of these groups contact Care’Diff or call 02920 873419.
