Festive Giving the Creative Way

At our Whitchurch Memory café in November, our theme was festive giving.

At our Whitchurch Memory café in November, our theme was festive giving.

Tony Denning, a volunteer from Amelia Trust Farm made two beautiful Christmas trees for us, so we can donate them to both the churches who host our Memory Cafes.

This was also a way for the Amelia Trust to fundraise and we were thrilled to contribute to such a worthwhile organisation.

We wanted to make some Christmas decorations for the Ararat tree in readiness for us presenting it to the Ararat Team next month.

To get us into the mood, we had a special Christmas themed Honky Horn Quiz where the group split into 3 teams.

As ever, the mix of questions and songs went down well with everyone and we had some fabulous singers in our group.

They remained in their teams whilst also making their Christmas decorations and the team points earned for creating the best selection were added to their quiz scores.

We had a clear winning team and Pam held the winner’s statue on their behalf.

Our professional guests this month were Michael Ford from Sign, Sight Sound, Michelle Mancini from Care and Repair, Clair Blandford from The Care Collective and Sarah Ducan-Jones from FAN groups.
