Farewells, Thankyous And Hockey In Whitchurch

Farewells, Thankyous And Hockey In Whitchurch

In April we were delighted to have Suzy from Rise facilitate a wonderful hockey session at our Memory & Movement Cafe held at Ararat Church Community Centre in Whitchurch.

To break us in gently, Suzy insured we started off with honing our ball control skills with various games, which eventually culminated into an exciting match.

As ever, the action was interspersed with quiz questions which this month were themed around Easter.

Chrissy and Freya who run the group, were thrilled to receive bouquets from a grateful family who have been bringing their mother along to our sessions. The mother is now settled and happy in a residential care home, so we shall miss the whole family who were always full of fun and kindness to other attendees.

If this sounds like the type of family friendly session you would like to attend, then contact Chrissy  – christine.darby@cpb.homeinstead.co..uk to register your interest or call our office for a chat on 02920 569483

Over Easter we often visit our elderly relatives as this weekend gives us a break from our busy lives.

This is also the time when we may notice that life is becoming a struggle for them.

We know from many years of experience that early interventions help to avoid a crisis later on.

We wish you a safe and happy Easter!
