Employment Support During Menopause

In February we had Jayne Woodman from The Menopause Team to give a talk about employee rights during the menopause, to the MenoPals Rhiwbina group.

It was very informative and most of us did not know our employers are obliged to make reasonable adjustments to help us cope in the workplace, or the over-arching legislation that protects women at this stage of their life.

Jayne is keen to give information talks to employers to help them retain their valuable staff when they are struggling to cope with symptoms.

At Home Instead Cardiff, Penarth and Barry we are a Menopause friendly employer, offering monthly online Menopause support sessions to our employees, with the opportunity for face to face support at both MenoPals groups in Rhiwbina and Sully each month.

Home Instead knows the importance of recognising how significant and debilitating this phase of life can be for many women, and happily sponsor both the MenoPals groups.

Phil Batchelor, Franchise Owner says “We are proud to be a Menopause Friendly Employer and see it helping us continue to attract and retain the best people to work for us. Being menopause friendly goes hand in hand with our mission to make life better for our clients, our people and our community”.
