Dementia Friendly Barber In Sully

 In April we were out promoting the launch of our Dementia Friendly Information Corner as part of our supportive work with Dementia Friendly Penarth.

We got to speak to many business, shops, and GP surgeries on our travels, but we were taken with the interest and dedication shown by Darran Ryan who runs The Barbershop based at the Sully Sports parking area.

He was keen to know a lot more about Dementia as he has noticed some of his customers have been diagnosed and he wanted to know how to cope with their changing needs.

Chrissy was happy to have a chat and pointed out his vintage décor and “only one customer in at a time” system, is conducive to a very supportive experience to someone on their dementia journey.
