Lunchtime can be a great time of day to get out in Cardiff with your elderly loved one or friend for a nice treat.
In Lisvane, next to Parc Cefn Onn, you will find The Old Cottage. This country pub is a perfect place for a meal away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The characterful building is filled with cosy corners and log fires. With its freshly prepared menu it is brilliant for a bite to eat. Why not try one of their roasts on a Sunday? There are a few steps in the building but plenty of tables where you don’t need to use them. Open every day of the week from 11:00am.

There are different choices of coffee, tea, cake, light lunch, or afternoon tea. A range of indoor and outdoor seating is available, depending on the weather. We can assure you that this newly renovated tea-room is a hidden gem. Open every day of the week from 10:00am till 17:30pm.

Down Cardiff Bay is the Norwegian Church which have their Norsk Café. This café is a fan favourite with many of our clients choosing this as their lunch spot of choice. Many of the dishes are inspired by the Norwegian cuisine and they have an attractive selection of pastries, appetisers, brunch options, teas, and coffees. They are open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00am till 18:00pm. While you eat you can also enjoy the views across the bay towards Penarth in one direction and the Senedd in the other.
Also down Cardiff Bay is the Look Out Café Bar which looks over the Bay towards Cardiff. Open from 10:00am there are plenty of drinks and light bites for you to choose from. If you are going for a walk down the Bay, this is a great place to stop half-way to have light meal.
